Astaxanthin is a naturally formed pigment that is particularly abundant in the cells of algae. It is considered one of the strongest antioxidants.
The blood rain alga “Haematococcus pluvialis” is today the most important raw material for the production of astaxanthin products and is dried and ground in a complicated process.
The high-dose natural astaxanthin with 4 mg active ingredient per vegan capsule is produced without the separating agent magnesium stearate to maintain good bioavailability. Instead, harmless microcrystalline cellulose (naturally without nanoparticles) is used.
Astaxanthin is fat-soluble, so it is recommended to take it with something oily to improve absorption. There is a conscious decision not to use soft capsules, which are usually made with animal gelatine and glycerine.

Astaxanthin is produced exclusively in Germany according to the official HACCP concept and does not contain the separating agent magnesium stearate (magnesium salts of fatty acids) to maintain ideal effectiveness.
