Jana thrived in the classroom – until perimenopause changed everything

Jana, 46, had always been the kind of teacher every child remembers. Warm, energetic and fully present in the classroom, she loved her job and the daily rhythm of school life.

By her early 40s, she started noticing something was off. Nothing dramatic at first. Just small things. Waking up tired. Losing her train of thought mid-sentence. Snapping at people she loved for no real reason.

For someone whose whole job relies on patience, a sharp mind and the ability to show up fully every single day, that felt alarming.

"I've always been someone who thrives in the classroom. So, when I couldn't concentrate and couldn't keep my composure – deeply affected me."

"I didn't recognise myself anymore. And the people around me started noticing.”

What Jana was experiencing was perimenopause. And like most women, she had no idea it had already started.

She didn't know at the time that perimenopause can start as early as your late 30s – and it’s rarely obvious at first. It is often disguised as stress, burnout or just "life catching up with you." The tricky part is that these symptoms are all connected.

Poor sleep worsens mood. Hormonal shifts affect focus. The more irregular Jana's menstrual cycle became, the more unstable she felt.

Did you know? Mood changes affect 87%** of women during (peri)menopause, making it the most common symptom. Sleep issues come in second, impacting 79%** of women. And the two are deeply linked – each one making the other worse.

She wasn't willing to just push through it

Once Jana finally understood that hormonal shifts were likely behind her symptoms, she began looking into her options. She learned that hormone therapy could be one solution, but she decided to pursue a more natural route first.

So she started researching and two years ago, she came across M-Pause.

She was drawn to it because it was hormone-free and plant-based, which already ticked the right boxes. But what intrigued her the most, was the saffron extract, Safr'Inside™.

"I wanted actual numbers and tangible proof about what I was going to put in my body. The saffron extract alone in M Pause had more clinical data behind it than most supplements I'd researched in their entirety."

And the numbers are hard to argue with. Studies on Safr'Inside™ show:

Hot flushes reduced in frequency, severity and duration by over 55*%

Night sweats reduced by 70*%

Mood swings reduced by 50*%

Emotional balance improved in 75*% of women

Optimism increased by 77*%

Cortisol levels decreased by 44*%

✔ 50*% of women report better sleep quality

M-Pause did not change who Jana is. It helped her feel like herself again.

Jana didn't notice an overnight transformation. That's not how M-Pause works. But after a while, the small improvements started adding up. "It wasn’t sudden," Jana explains. "It just felt like my body had finally stopped fighting me."

"I woke up one morning and just lay there thinking – I actually feel rested. I hadn't felt that in years."

From there, the changes kept coming. Her concentration began returning gradually. The fog that once interrupted her lessons started to lift. "I wasn’t searching for words anymore. I could think clearly, and I finally felt present with my pupils again."

The people around her noticed it too

Her partner mentioned she seemed more like herself. Her friends started asking what she was doing differently, and her pupils finally got their teacher back.

"My partner said I seemed more like myself. That actually hit me hard, because it meant he'd noticed how much I hadn't been."

She's still taking it and she's not planning to stop

Jana hasn't officially reached menopause yet. Her periods still show up occasionally, though far less often than before. She's in that uncertain in-between phase that so many women in their 40s find themselves in.

So she keeps taking M-Pause to keep her symptoms under control and to maintain the balance she has regained. "It took me long enough to find something that works. I'm not giving that up."

Jana now also openly talks to friends about this phase of life. When they mention hot flushes, sleep problems, low energy or brain fog, she shares her story and the way she helped herself.

You don’t need to simply endure the symptoms

As menopause can span up to a third of your life, supporting both your body and mind through the changes can have a huge impact on the quality of life.

For Jana, M-Pause brought back balance, focus and calm. Most importantly, it gave her back her old life – and it can do the same for you.
